5 Most Creative Fire Powers in Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force) 1st Cours

Fire is, naturally, an essential element in the world of Fire Force. Spontaneous human combustion causes people to transform into flaming monsters out of nowhere, which can only be destroyed by the pyrotechnics of the Fire Force Brigade. They all use fire in one way or another, but their powers still feel vastly different because they explore the far reaches of what fire can do. Today, we’re taking a look at the 5 most creative fire powers in this series; from plasma to trajectory control to freezing and more, it’s amazing to see what Atsushi Okubo has come up with!

5 Shinra Kusakabe Highlights from Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force)

Even though Shinra is the teenage protagonist of a big shounen anime, he doesn’t really act like it. He’s levelheaded, works well with his team, and (most amazingly of all) is properly suspicious of shifty characters who have a reason to lie to him. He’s still naïve in many ways, particularly when it comes to underestimating his opponents in battle, but we can’t deny that it’s refreshing to see a shounen protagonist who doesn’t blindly trust everyone he meets, only to be shocked when they betray him.

[Honey's Crush Wednesday] 5 Maki Oze Highlights - Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force)

Maki stands out among other seasonal anime girls by having a jacked physique that most of us could only dream of. Due to her training as a Tokyo Army soldier, she can easily lift heavy objects that give grown men pause and can beat down two third-generation pyrokinetics in a fistfight. Unfortunately, she has a bit of a complex about her figure, not believing herself to be as feminine as the curvier Iris and Hibana. Don’t worry, Maki—you’re perfect just the way you are!

5 Princess Hibana Highlights - Enen no Shouboutai (Fire Force)

In contrast to Shinra and the rest of Company 8’s relatively simple character designs, Princess Hibana looks like she just walked off a Paris runway. Her firefighter jacket is custom trimmed with fur and fits closely to her body, and the white dress she wears underneath is more suitable for a cocktail party than a battleground. She even has flower patterns in her eyes! She definitely wouldn’t fit in at an actual fire scene, but she’s perfect as an over-the-top anime character.
